KUDASHKINA

How to Hold the Art You Love
(Without Breaking the Bank)

Become a custodian sponsor of Natasha Kudashkina’s

newest works in her exhibition, Super Organic

Worth Gallery, 830 Dundas St. W, Toronto
Oct 3–12 (Private Showing Oct 2, 6–8 pm)

About the concept:

Art brings us closer to who we are. The science of neuroaesthetics, how our physiology responds to beauty, has proven art essential for health and wellbeing yet for many, owning original works feels financially out of reach.

This project changes that. By becoming a Custodian Sponsor, for a modest contribution, you support the show, enjoy the art, and maybe even take it home. If and when it sells, you also share in its financial reward.

About the show:

In the words of the artist: “Art can engage with the themes of its time not only by reflection, but by painting the more beautiful world within it. My latest collection, Super Organic, paints a different picture than what we see on the news, one that feels, at least to me, more truly human. Harmony, abundance, reverence. Humanity and nature as not two, but one.”

Art Custodian - “Super Organic” - How It Works

1. Before/during the show:

  • You commit at the Art Custodian Price (well below retail, see next page for price and available works)
  •  Your support helps bring the exhibition to life, and you are acknowledged as Custodian and supporter of the show

2. At the show

    • The painting gets a “yellow sticker” showing it as ‘sponsored’

    • You are publicly listed as Patron

    • If the painting sells, you receive your Custodian Price back plus one-third of the profit above it.

If it does not sell, the painting comes home with you, as Custodian

3. From There

A Letter to from the Artist
“Super Organic”
Natasha Kudashkina — Acrylic on Canvas/Wood, Prints

My dears,

First, THANK YOU for all the love you have shown me over the years. An artist can only paint her heart, and mine is more beautiful because you are in it.

I have spent almost two years on this collection, Super Organic. These times have been full of conflict, division, and uncertainty, but I believe art’s job is not only to reflect the world, but to remind us of who we really are: whole, abundant, free.

This series imagines harmony, reverence, and nature as not separate from us, but as our deepest ally. If I’ve done my job, you’ll feel that in each piece.

The show runs Oct 3–12 at Worth Gallery, but I’d like to invite you as a patron and custodian to a private showing Oct 2 (6–8 pm), and of course, the public opening Oct 3 (6–10 pm), and closing event Oct 10 (6-10).

I would so love to see you there.

Thank you for believing in me, and through your support, making our life together a work of art.

With love,
Natasha

ART WORKS

BIG BANANA

acrylic on canvas

22” x 28”

$4000

Bananas are more than food, they are playgrounds full of laughter and excitement, ice cream splits and pratfalls.

Little people darted everywhere. Some used the long strips of skin as slides and slid. One stood at the very tip, held her arms in triumph after a long, nearly impossible climb. Down below people worked. Their conversation was about how to distribute this giant fruit to as many little people as possible, quickly, before it became a big, bad banana. Bob the vendor even tried his hand making a business of it: banana ice cream.

Joy was in the air.  Everyone who saw the banana, touched it, ate it, smelled it, was connected, and delighted.

It was a celebration not just of the banana but of life’s potential, its surprises and abundance.

GIANT STRAWBERRY

acrylic on canvas

40” x 60”

$6500(sold)

As they gathered around the giant strawberry, they could not believe their eyes.

HUGE PEACH

acrylic on canvas

36” x 48”
$2350

The huge peach was discovered by a group of rock climbers who scaled it straight away. If they were drawn by its aroma or silky smooth fruit, you would not know for they didn’t linger. They climbed directly to the pit and its catacombs, where they spelunked, then  rested, leaning against its smooth walls. A red haired woman passed by and cheered them on from far below.

GREAT KIWI

acrylic on canvas

18” x 18”

$850

The Great Kiwi rested like a portal to another world. Figures gathered in awe. Where did it come from? And where is its other half? No answers were forthcoming and the mystery remained, the kiwi at the centre of it all.

MANDARIN DREAM

acrylic on canvas

10” x 10”

$750

I had a dream that all my girl friends were on an adventure and we found a piece of mandarin. But guess what? It was huge! Bigger than a house. We sat and watched the sunset through it, suffused in its soft light. It was a beautiful time.

LYCHEE

acrylic on canvas

10” x 10”

$550

My dog sniffed the air, then pulled at his leash. “What is it, Max?” I asked, as he led me, tugging, through the forest. But then I smelled it too, a heavy perfume I couldn’t quite place. Sun started to filter through the trees as we approached a meadow.  When I saw it,  I almost dropped the leash. A lychee fruit, four stories high. I closed my eyes, rubbed them, opened them again. It was still there. Who? How? At the time, I didn’t know that giant fruits were appearing all over the planet, and it took many years for humankind to understand why.

COLOSSAL LEMON

acrylic on canvas

30” x 15”

$1650

Sure, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, but what do you do with a COLOSSAL lemon, when a single slice is as big as a city? What do you do then??

DRAGONFRUIT SITE

acrylic on canvas

24” x 36”

$1850

He was the first one on-site this morning. It was quiet, but he could hear the construction sounds in his mind as he planned the next steps. There was a lot to do!

MELON MELT

acrylic on wood

24” x 24”

$950

(half proceeds to Médecins Sans Frontières)

The story of the melon had yet to be written and all the little boy knew is that he couldn’t do it alone.

POMME DE TERRE

(Apple of the Earth)

acrylic on canvas

48” x 48”

$8000

They fought and fought, divided against themselves, until they arrived into the cold shadow of the potato.

One by one, they turned to it, realized it was enough to feed them, all their families, and they littered the ground with the uniforms they no longer needed.

PINEAPPLE PARTY

acrylic on canvas

78” x 50”

$10500

They gathered around the pineapple, waiting for it to ripen.

The party was growing each minute, and would go on for many days.

ONE APPLE A DAY

acrylic on canvas

30” x 30”

$4000 (sponsored)

This good doctor decided to use the apple for his practice. It was a green one, tart and crisp, easy to keep clear. He managed to haul up everything he needed. The hardest part was getting the patients to come up and come down, but it didn’t stop them from lining up.

THE PEAR

acrylic on canvas

35” x 45”

$3000

 natashadesign.com

The perfume of the pear brought them all running. It was time. They would need more horses.

Thank you for you time!
